Sound video feedback and learner response'

 1) Type up your feedback from your teacher.

WWW:

  • Opening is so creepy-it works perfectly!
  • I had visceral reaction to the opening due to the contrapuntal element which shows you have me the brief perfectly.
  • The switch in change of colour and (lighting) signal the switch  to parallel  sound  very clearly  which shows you have  met brief exactly as specified
  • great choice  of music  track .
EBI:

  • perhaps both halves of the montage could have  had videos  of different  shots but this is difficult to fault.

2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarise key points if several students give you similar feedback.
WWW:
  • The  music was parallel to the 2nd  part plus contrapuntal to the start
  • Eerie music had the atmosphere already set up and  established  so the audience could anticipate  when the 'scary part' was coming
EBI:
  • the sound  cut out before the video ended.

3) Now reflect on your work and write your own evaluation of your video. Write a 'What went well' (WWW) paragraph and a paragraph for 'Even Better If' (EBI) underneath the rest of your feedback.

  • WWW: I Think that I was able to meet the brief by making something that had both parallel and contrapuntal sound.
  • Ebi should have extended the music further  at the end.

4) Learner response: compare your own video against your evaluation of the top three videos in the class. Whose did you think was best and why? How could you have improved your own video?
I think that Kimiyah's because she did the parallels and contrapuntal sound well   I think mine would be batter had  I extended the music further  at the end.

5) Finally, what have you learned about the importance of sound to film and TV through this week's work?
I learned sound plays an important role of conveying  and creating  emotions audiences should feel.
