Preliminary exercise learner response'

 1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full plus a summary of the comments you received from other students in the class.

Well done on your preliminary exercise music video. Here is my feedback:

WWW:

Follows TikTok music video conventions

Fast paced editing

Excellent choreography which highlights a performance element to your music video

Choice of costume fits the Hip Hop genre conventions

A clear range of camera shots and slick editing

EBI:

Audio issue towards the end – check this when downloading songs and editing in Premiere Pro

Lip syncing in some parts could be improved

Slightly over the recommended length

Consider your font style and formatting

2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write three WWW bullet points and three EBI bullet points for your work.

WWW:

  • Good brand identity
  • choreo is golden
  • jump cuts suit  the TikTok conventions
  • lighting is great
  • release date given
  • Performance  element
  • link between and visuals
  • good music conventions
  • costume
  • screen through screen
EBI:
  • Stretches split  3 screens  could be clearer
  • audio issues  make sure it's consistent

3) How effectively did you complete the objective you laid out in your mini preliminary exercise statement of intent?

I was able to link  meet the brief well as I was able to gain a lot of insights I established the brand identity as well as being able to meet all the TikTtok conventions.

4) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project?

I've learned how to adapt and how to work with certain circumstances as I wasn't able to get every band member in the first video

5) Now you have completed the preliminary exercise, will you change anything about your actual coursework video plan? This could include your concept, cast/actors or technical elements such as mise-en-scene, camerawork or editing.

NO I'm just gonna smooth out the editing and just cut out down the time to 60 seconds.
